1 Thessalonians 3:9,10 – “How we thank God for you! Because of you we have great joy as we enter God’s presence. 10 Night and day we pray earnestly for you, asking God to let us see you again to fill the gaps in your faith.”
When you think about other people how does it make you feel. I would think some people would put a smile on your face while others might take that smile away. The Thessalonians made Paul smile. In fact, Paul said they brought him “great joy!” It’s nice to have people like that in your life.
Verse 10 shows us the ministry of the Apostle Paul and his giftedness according to Ephesians 4:11,12. He is called to equip and edify the body of Christ. This requires filling in the gap for Christians so that they may be made complete and become mature Christians.
I want to encourage you to continue in our One Year Bible devotions. They are meant to inspire a life of devotion on your own. In that way you will be able to fill in the gaps that are missing in your life.
