Feb 13th – Non-Stop

NON-STOP

Psalm 34:1“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

Psalm 34 is a tremendous Psalm. Half of it is today’s reading and the other half is tomorrow’s reading (I highly recommend you reading the entire Psalm at one sitting!). I want to highlight 4 statements from today’s portion that are worth your attention.

The first one is in the text above. Please take not of these key words: “at all times” and “continually.” What is to happen at all times and continually? Blessing and praise. These two should be coming out of our mouths NON-STOP!

The second is in verse 4 – “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” Got any fears? The answer according to King David is to seek the Lord. He will hear you and deliver you.

The third is in verse 7 – “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.” This verse is full of encouragement for those “who fear Him” (don’t miss that!). The word “angel” means “messenger.” A messenger carries a message…so he has something to say to us. The word “encamps” means to pitch a tent. That means he’s not coming for a quick visit; he intends to stay. But only around those “who fear him.”

The fourth is in verse 8 – “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” All of my attempts to explain salvation to you and His presence and His deliverance are inadequate. You must “taste and see.” You must experience Him for yourself. Once you do you will understand verse 1 and how easy it is to bless Him at all times and praise him NON-STOP!
